Activity plan for 2026

1) Updating the SSS membership base

2) Participation in the activities of the International Glass Societies

a) Lyon ICG 2026,

b) The 17th Workshop for New Researchers in Glass Science and Applications, organised by ICG and held July 6 to 10, 2026, in Montpellier

3) Support for students at competitions/exhibitions

4) Updating the current/creating a new website

5) Organisation of professional excursions within the framework of glass manufacturing companies in the Slovak Republic and through the Glass Industry Association.

6) Support for the participation of members in professional seminars/lectures by making professional lectures organised by the FunGlass centre available to SSS members also in the form of online transmission (MSTeams) 21.-23. 1st lecture

7) Artistic activities - 2026 - The Story of Glass VI

8) Support for experiments and melting of historical glass in the archeological park in Hanušovce nad Topľou. The expected implementation date is the end of July to the beginning of August 2026

9) Continue processing archaeological finds from the selection from Trenčín Castle and preparation of an exhibition with a catalog for the year 2026 in Trenčín and support for the display of the results of glass processing within the framework of the upcoming MMT exhibition in 2026. The aim is to create national support for the preservation of historical glass and its intellectual and cultural legacy and fulfill the tasks that arise from the protection of handmade glassmaking. Possibility of 2 months of exhibition in the LR if the protection of the exhibit is ensured
