Slovak Glass Society

The Slovak GlassCompany (SSS) is a non-profit association of citizens with legal personality. Its activities include the development of science, technology, art and education in the glass industry and the transfer of new knowledge in the given area and areas related to glass.

The company was founded on 14.10.1993. The company's registered office is in Lednické Rovne, Sklárska 117. The company's bodies are the General Meeting, the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.

The members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board are elected for a period of 3 years. The Board of Directors consists of a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, scientific secretary and 4 members.

The company is a member of the Slovak Glass Industry Association, ZSVTS, International Commission on Glass and European Society of Glass Science and Technology

The company's activities are mainly focused on:

• supporting all levels of glass education
• active participation in the European Glass Society (ESG) and the International Glass Society (ICG)
• organization of professional events
• active cooperation with the Czech Glass Society.

In the field of higher education, the SSS's activities are focused on supporting the participation of doctoral students in professional events, procuring proposals for doctoral study topics, final bachelor's and diploma theses from representatives of the production sector, and evaluating and awarding the best diploma theses on glass topics.
